All tours to Bhutan are charged through an international travel tariff set by the Royal Government of Bhutan. This means that the price for your trip is based on the number of days / nights, not on what you decide to do.

The tariffs for tourists visiting in a group of 3 persons or more are as follows:

• High Season: Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec: US $250 / per person per night
• Low Season: Jan, Feb, July, Aug: US $200 / per person per night

These minimum daily package rates entitle you to the following services:

1. Accommodation on twin sharing basis
2. All transfers and sightseeing within Bhutan
3. Services of accompanied guide
4. All meals
5. 35% royalty & taxes to the government
6. Riding ponies and pack animals on treks
7. Fees to temples & monuments

The rates given above are applicable per tourist per night in Bhutan. On the day of departure, the local agent's obligation shall be limited to breakfast only and any extra requirements shall be payable on an actual basis. The above rates apply uniformly irrespective of locations and the type of accommodation provided/asked for. These accommodation establishments shall be approved by the Tourism Authority of Bhutan.

Luxury hotels are available in select cities for an additional fee.

All tourists are required to pay US $10 per visit as a tourism development contribution.

TARIFF FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL GROUPS

Individual tourists and smaller groups of less than three persons shall be subject to surcharges, as follows:

• Single Individual: US $40 / per night
• Group of Two: US $30 / per person per night

DISCOUNTS on tourist tariff

1. There shall be no charge for CHILDREN up to the age of 5 years. However, those between the ages of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians shall be given a 40% discount on daily rates.
2. Full-time students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 25% discount on daily rates.
3. A discount of 50% on daily rates shall be given to one person in a group of 11 to 15 persons. A 100% discount shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 16 persons.
4. A discount of 10% on the daily rates shall be provided for trips between 11 to 20 nights and 20% discount on trips beyond 21 nights.

CANCELLATION
Tour Programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject cancellation charges as follows:

1. Within 30 days of the start of the tour program: Free
2. Within 21 days: 30% of the rate
3. Within 14 days: 50% of the rate
4. Within 7 days: 75%
5. Less than 7 days or cancellation without notice 100% of the rate
6. After arrival in Bhutan: 100% of the rate

DELAYED ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

There shall be no charge for the number of days of delay in departure of visitor due to weather conditions, Druk Air problems, or roadblocks. Charges to include the actual expenses on accommodation, food, and transport.

SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENTS

The quoted package rates are valid for accommodation on twin sharing basis and the following supplements will be applicable in case of single room accommodation:

• High season = US $50 / per single room per night
• Other season = US $25 / per single room per night

REMITTANCE OF TOUR PAYMENT

Tour payment must be settled two months prior to your date of arrival in Bhutan and VISA is cleared by the government subject to advance payment only.

Entire tour payment must be sent to BHTT by Bank transfer, 60 days in advance. For tours that include festivals - 90 days in advance. (Services are confirmed subject to advance payment only).

For high seasons (Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec) it is advisable to remit payment for Druk Air flights 3 months in advance. This will assist us with your seat confirmation.
